Air pollution (E60)

Criteria question

Does the standard include specific criteria depending on different types of synthetic fibres (including man-made cellulose fibres)?

Guidance

Remark: This criterion is relevant if the standard covers textiles containing more than 30% of synthetic fibres. For other standards, the option "not relevant" has to be chosen.

Degree of Intensity (DoI)

  1. Not relevant
  2. Specific criteria depending on different types of synthetic fibres (including man-made cellulose fibres)

Comment/Rationale

Criteria question:
Air pollution is one of the major problems of some processes in textile production, especially in the production of synthetic fibres. We suggest that this is a minimum criterion for standards that address textiles made from synthetic fibres.

This criterion is a newly proposed minimum criterion.

@ Remark: We propose to decrease 30 % to 10 % in order to include a higher amount of textiles that have to fulfill this criterion (E 60 orginally).
